Who is Crucial Technology and Lexar?
Crucial, now named Lexar Media, brings you two outstanding brands in memory:
Crucial DRAM and Lexar flash products.
Having experienced success with corporate customers, Micron saw the need to
provide OEM-quality memory directly to end users — the home desktop user, the
IT network professionals, the student notebook user. In September 1996, Micron
launched Crucial, giving end users the opportunity to buy directly the same
memory modules used by the world's leading manufacturers for original installation
in their systems. Demand for Crucial upgrades grew rapidly over the next decade.
In 2007, this growth culminated with Crucial joining forces with leading NAND
flash provider, Lexar. We are now known by the name “Lexar Media.”
Together, Lexar and Crucial deliver customers a wider range of products through
even more sales channels. Crucial memory and Lexar flash are key brands within
the Lexar Media company.
How do I know what kind of memory to purchase for my computer?
Crucial makes finding the right upgrade easy by offering two ways to find
the right memory — the System Scanner tool and our Memory Advisor™ tool.
The System
Scanner tool automatically scans your computer to tell you about your current
memory configuration and recommend compatible upgrades for your specific computer.
Or,
use Crucial's award-winning Memory
Advisor tool, where they have compiled all the information you need into
one easy-to-use, searchable database. Crucial's Memory Advisor is the most
complete tool of its kind, with more than 217,000 solutions for over 27,000
different notebooks, desktops, printers, servers, other digital devices.
Just tell Crucial what system you have, and their Memory Advisor tells you
what upgrades will work for you. And Crucial guarantees that the memory you
buy through their tools will be 100 percent compatible with your system,
or they will refund the price of the incompatible product.
Does Crucial offer a warranty to retail customers?
Crucial memory products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty, while Crucial
graphics cards are covered by a one-year limited warranty. In the unlikely
event that your product is defective, or you are not happy with its performance,
please contact a Crucial
Memory Expert. View more
detailed
information on our warranty.
What if I need to return my Crucial memory?
Crucial sells high-quality products that our Memory Advisor™ and System Scanner
tools guarantee to be compatible with your system or device. While it's rare
for Crucial customers to need to return a product, if you're not satisfied
with your purchase, please visit our returns
